Gearing up for productionLiterally choosing the right gear, as well as choosing the right mindset, is critical for your production. Whether that production is a multimillion dollar budget feature or a fifty dollar home production doesn't matter much. In the case of the latter and less than stellar financial resources one makes do with what one can. Rachel's World will be shot on a DVX-100A with a Sennheiser ME-66 shotgun mic, a LitePanels on-camera light, and lots of DV tape. The editing system will the a PowerMac G5 based Final Cut Pro 5 Studio suite and ProTools LE 7.1 (without the DV toolkit option -- yet). Craft services will consist of whatever the unit production manager chooses, most likely granola bars and bottled water.
